The objective of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of e-mhGAP-IG in detection and management of persons with depression by non-specialist health workers (HW) compared to treatment as usual. Study design- cluster randomized controlled trial (cRCT) in the selected primary health centers (PHC) of rural Karnataka and Maharashtra. cRCT will be carried out in four phases. Intervention PHCs will receive e-mhGAP app + training modules and control PHCs will only have a brief sensitization session on mental disorders. HWs in both the group will be asked to detect and manage depression cases. Follow-up will be done at 15 days, 1, 2, and 3 months.

- Monitoring and coordinating all study activities.
- Assisting in the adaptation of e-mhGAP module, development of mobile app, development of training modules and developing various study questionnaires.
- Ability to liaison with government stakeholders.
- Collection and supervision of data from PHCs, validation, storage of data.
- Analyzing qualitative interviews.
- Monitoring of study progress in intervention and control PHCs.
- Organising and attending all project meetings, maintaining the records, training, and study documents.
- Candidates with experience in community-based projects or trials will be given preference.
- Preference for a candidate fluent in Kannada from Tumkur.
- Requires intense travelling in the initial months.
- First class postgraduate degree including integrated PG degree with three years of experience OR PhD.
- Postgraduate degree should be in any Medical allied sciences field.
Preferred Language: Reading and writing fluency in Kannada, English

Proposed Salary: 72,800/- per month
