Role Description The Project Manager – Solid Waste Management will oversee planning, implementation, and monitoring of solid waste management projects with Mechanised road sweeping litter picking and for the while being based on-site. This full-time role includes designing and executing project plans, coordinating with local authorities, vendors, and internal teams, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and environmental standards. The position involves managing budgets, schedules, and resources, tracking project progress, preparing reports, and resolving operational issues. The Project Manager will also develop and implement strategies to improve City Road cleaning by Mechenised machines and support stakeholder communication, training activities, and performance reviews.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management and Program Management skills for planning, executing, and monitoring multiple solid waste management initiatives.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Budgeting abilities to interpret data, optimize operations, and manage project costs effectively.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders, prepare documentation, and present project updates.
- Relevant experience in solid waste management, environmental services, municipal services, or facility management is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Public Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site, manage cross-functional teams, handle field operations, as. required.
- Knowledge of local regulations, sustainability practices, and health and safety standards related to waste management will be an advantage.
