Job Description:
Business Analyst cum Scrum Master:
Position Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst cum Scrum Master who can effectively bridge business requirements and Agile delivery. The ideal candidate will gather and analyze requirements, facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and ensure smooth delivery of product increments.
Business Analysis
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Create and maintain product backlog items, ensuring clarity and priority alignment.
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops.
• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and feasibility assessments for new initiatives.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and design teams to ensure correct implementation.
• Support UAT planning, test case review, and validation of delivered features.
• Document functional specifications, workflows, and business rules.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
• Coach the team on Agile best practices and ensure adherence to Scrum principles.
• Remove impediments and ensure the development team is productive and focused.
• Monitor sprint progress, burndown charts, velocity, and other Agile metrics.
• Work with Product Owner/Managers to refine and prioritize backlog items.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration.
• Support cross-functional coordination and ensure communication flow across teams.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and proactively address them.
Required Skills
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile environments.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience as a Scrum Master or playing dual BA + SM role.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks, backlog management, and estimation techniques.
• Excellent requirement-gathering, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead discussions, influence decisions, and drive consensus.
Preferred
Skills Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM I).
Business Analyst Certifications (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP) — optional but beneficial.
Experience with wireframing tools (Figma). Understanding of SDLC, API basics, data flows, and integration concepts.
Experience working with cross-functional tech teams (Frontend, Backend, QA, Product).
