Job Description: Civil Project Manager

Reporting To: General Manager / Operations Director
Role Overview
The Civil Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of assigned civil / infrastructure projects across PAN India, from mobilization to project completion and handover. The role demands strong site execution capability, planning, cost control, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and as per quality standards.
This is a project-based role, requiring continuous site presence and coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Site Management
- Lead complete on-site execution of civil, piling, and ground engineering works
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodology
- Manage daily site operations including manpower, plant & machinery, and materials
- Ensure timely achievement of project milestones
2. Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare and implement detailed execution schedules in coordination with planning teams
- Monitor progress against baseline programs and take corrective actions
- Optimize resources to achieve productivity and cost targets
3. Cost Control & Billing
- Monitor project costs, consumption, and productivity
- Review and certify subcontractor bills and vendor invoices
- Prepare and submit RA bills to clients and ensure timely certification
- Support management in cash flow planning and payment follow-ups
4. Quality Assurance & HSE
- Implement project-specific QA/QC plans and inspection procedures
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, statutory requirements, and client safety norms
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and quality inspections
- Maintain proper documentation for quality and safety records
5. Contract Administration
- Handle contractual correspondence, site instructions, and approvals
- Identify and support claims related to variations, extra items, and time extensions (EOT)
- Maintain accurate records for measurements, changes, and site instructions
6. Stakeholder & Client Coordination
- Act as the primary interface with clients, consultants, PMC, and subcontractors at site
- Attend site review meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings
- Ensure professional communication and timely resolution of site issues
7. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance
- Support training, mentoring, and performance improvement of site teams
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of civil construction, piling, and infrastructure works
- Hands-on experience in site execution, planning, and cost control
- Good understanding of BOQs, drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and site challenges
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Qualification & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 10–12 years of experience in civil / infrastructure projects
- Minimum 5–7 years as Project Manager / Site Head on large projects
- Experience in piling, geotechnical, marine, or heavy civil works will be a strong advantage
- Willingness to work on PAN India project locations
