Detailed Job Description
Role Summary-
We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager / Program Manager with strong expertise in managing large-scale SAP transformation and implementation projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP delivery management, stakeholder management, governance, budgeting, and end-to-end project execution across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Project & Program Management
Lead end-to-end SAP implementation, migration, and transformation projects.
Manage project scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks, and quality deliverables.
Drive project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities.
Handle project governance activities including RAID, RACI, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Ensure successful delivery of projects within budget and timelines.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, customers, and leadership stakeholders.
Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and resource planning.
Identify project risks/issues proactively and implement mitigation plans.
Drive governance and compliance across project lifecycle activities.
- SAP Delivery & Transformation
Work closely with SAP functional and technical teams across modules such as:
SAP FICO, MM, SD, PP, WM, PM, PS, QM, and EWM.
Support SAP S/4HANA implementation and SAP transformation initiatives.
Participate in SAP conversion/migration projects and enterprise modernization programs.
Ensure alignment with SAP Activate methodology and RISE with SAP practices.
- Stakeholder & Team Management
Manage global cross-functional teams and offshore/onshore coordination.
Drive effective communication with CXO-level stakeholders and customers.
Mentor project teams and ensure delivery excellence.
Conduct steering committee meetings, project reviews, and governance discussions.
Build strong customer relationships and identify follow-on business opportunities.
- Documentation & Governance
Prepare and maintain project plans, governance reports, dashboards, and project documentation.
Track KPIs, project health, dependencies, and delivery metrics.
Maintain project documentation using SAP standard templates and tools.
Support audit, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Mandatory Skills
10–15 years of overall SAP experience.
Minimum 5+ years of SAP Project Management / Program Management experience.
Experience in managing 3–5 end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
Experience in at least one SAP Conversion/Migration project.
Strong understanding of RISE with SAP.
Hands-on exposure to SAP Functional Modules:
FICO / MM / SD / PP / WM / PM / PS / QM / EWM.
Strong experience in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, governance, stakeholder management, and risk management.
Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills.
Preferred Skills-
SAP Activate Certification.
PMP / PRINCE2 Certification.
Experience in PMO governance and enterprise transformation programs.
Exposure to cloud migration and enterprise integration projects.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
