Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore for a Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the industrial automation and IoT space. Responsibilities include coordinating with teams, managing schedules, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables, and maintaining quality standards. The role also involves supervising logistics, conducting inspections, and ensuring effective project flow from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead complete project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Coordinate with internal teams: design, software, PLC, electrical, and mechanical
- Manage client communication and ensure requirement clarity
- Develop project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation plans
- Track project progress and proactively mitigate risks
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards
- Handle vendor coordination, procurement follow-ups, and site readiness
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover
- Maintain proper documentation (BOM, reports, drawings, MOMs, etc.)
- Ensure successful project delivery with customer satisfaction
Required Skills & Competencies- Strong understanding of industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA, IoT)
- Experience in handling multi-disciplinary engineering projects
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project / Excel / ERP systems)
- Strong communication and client-handling skills
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation Engineering
- PMP or equivalent certification is an added advantage
Experience- Minimum 1-2 years in industrial automation / manufacturing / engineering projects
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end project execution
