Project Manager – Product Delivery & Internal Programs
Location: Hyderabad – Full-Time, On-Site
Department: Product / Delivery
Experience: 3 to 8 years
Reports To: Product / Delivery Leadership
Role Overview
We are looking for a Project Manager who can bring structure to complexity, move teams from intent to execution, and help shape high-quality product outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, customer delivery, and internal operations. The person will own multiple initiatives end to end, strengthen execution discipline across teams, and contribute meaningfully to roadmap, release, and prioritisation discussions.
The ideal candidate combines practical delivery leadership with strong product judgement. They should be comfortable challenging assumptions, probing progress beyond surface-level updates, making trade-offs visible, and ensuring that what is shipped is useful, coherent, reliable, and ready for customers.
What You Will Own
- End-to-end delivery of product initiatives, customer implementations, and strategic internal projects - from planning and discovery through release, adoption, and closure.
- Clear execution plans with defined outcomes, milestones, owners, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and decision points.
- Product and engineering delivery across concurrent workstreams, including roadmap coordination, sprint execution, release readiness, and post-release follow-through.
- Internal project management practices, including portfolio visibility, leadership reporting, governance rhythms, prioritisation, and cross-functional accountability.
- Customer and stakeholder communication, ensuring expectations, risks, trade-offs, and decisions are communicated with clarity and maturity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Delivery & Roadmap Execution
Partner with product and technology leaders to translate business priorities into executable roadmaps, release plans, and delivery sequences.
Distinguish between sprint activity and meaningful product progress; keep teams focused on outcomes, not just task completion.
Facilitate prioritisation using customer value, business impact, technical effort, regulatory needs, risk, and learning value.
Ensure features have clear problem statements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, release expectations, and measurable success indicators.
Protect product coherence by surfacing weak requirements, avoidable complexity, conflicting priorities, and quality risks early.
2. Engineering Execution & Release Governance
Drive sprint planning, backlog readiness, reviews, demos, retrospectives, and release checkpoints with strong follow-through.
Validate progress through working demos, delivery evidence, test results, defect trends, code/release signals, and environment readiness—not narrative status alone.
Coordinate engineering, QA, product, design, DevOps, implementation, and customer teams to remove bottlenecks and maintain delivery momentum.
Own release readiness across scope, quality, security, documentation, deployment, rollback, training, and stakeholder sign-off.
Track and improve delivery health using relevant metrics such as predictability, cycle time, throughput, defect leakage, deployment frequency, and escaped defects.
3. Internal Project & Portfolio Management
Create a simple, reliable operating system for internal projects, including plans, review cadences, dashboards, RAID logs, decision records, and escalation paths.
Provide leadership with a consolidated view of priorities, progress, delivery confidence, product health, risks, resource constraints, and decisions required.
Improve planning and execution practices across teams without introducing unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
Drive closure on internal initiatives that span product, engineering, operations, marketing, compliance, and customer delivery.
Identify recurring execution gaps and convert them into practical process, tooling, ownership, or governance improvements.
4. Customer & Stakeholder Leadership
Lead customer-facing project communication, reviews, demos, requirement discussions, change control, and milestone sign-offs.
Present risks, trade-offs, delays, and recovery plans with honesty, precision, and executive-level clarity.
Balance customer commitments with product sustainability, technical quality, and long-term roadmap priorities.
Handle escalations with composure, establish facts quickly, and drive clear ownership and resolution.
Build trust by being responsive, prepared, and consistent while avoiding over-commitment.
5. Risk, Quality & Compliance Awareness
Maintain active oversight of risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, decisions, and compliance-sensitive activities.
Ensure appropriate controls around access, approvals, audit trails, customer data, release governance, secure delivery, and evidence retention.
Work closely with QA and engineering to ensure test coverage, acceptance evidence, defect closure, and production readiness.
Anticipate delivery and operational risks early and create credible mitigation or recovery plans.
6. Team Leadership & Accountability
Create clarity on who owns what, by when, and to what standard.
Challenge weak commitments constructively and help teams convert ambiguity into action.
Navigate disagreements across business, product, and technology teams while protecting the larger outcome.
Coach team members on planning, communication, documentation, estimation, and execution discipline.
Lead through influence, sound judgement, preparation, and consistency.
What Success Looks Like
Leadership has a clear and reliable view of what is on track, what is at risk, why it matters, and what decision is needed.
Product releases are better planned, better validated, and less dependent on last-minute coordination.
Teams demonstrate stronger ownership, predictability, documentation, and follow-through.
Customer commitments are managed confidently without compromising product quality or engineering discipline.
Internal projects move with greater clarity, pace, and accountability.
The person becomes a trusted operating partner to product, technology, and business leadership.
Required Experience & Capabilities
- 3-8 years of experience in project, program, product, product delivery, or engineering delivery roles within a technology organisation.
- Demonstrated ownership of software product releases and multiple concurrent projects, not only coordination or status tracking.
- Practical understanding of product lifecycle management, roadmaps, prioritisation, versioning, release planning, and customer feedback loops.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery, with the judgement to adapt practices rather than apply ceremonies mechanically.
- Ability to engage credibly with engineering teams on APIs, integrations, cloud environments, Git workflows, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and technical dependencies.
- Experience using delivery and product metrics to assess progress, quality, predictability, and team effectiveness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including leadership updates, customer discussions, decision notes, and escalation communication.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritisation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Excel/Sheets, dashboards, and project or product management tools.
Preferred
- Experience with SaaS, AI-enabled products, enterprise platforms, GRC, cybersecurity, compliance, BFSI, or other regulated domains.
- Exposure to secure SDLC, RBAC, auditability, data governance, release controls, and enterprise implementation practices.
- Experience building internal delivery governance or portfolio management practices in a growing organisation.
- PMP, Scrum, SAFe, Product Management, or related certification - valued when supported by strong practical experience.
The Mindset We Value
- You care about the quality and usefulness of the final outcome, not merely whether a task was marked complete.
- You are curious enough to ask how something works, why it matters, and what evidence supports the current status.
- You can move comfortably between strategic context and execution detail.
- You communicate directly, respectfully, and without hiding uncertainty.
- You bring structure without slowing people down and raise standards without creating unnecessary friction.
- You learn quickly, form an independent point of view, and are willing to make or recommend difficult trade-offs.
Qualifications & Work Model
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Management, or a related discipline.
Full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.
- This is a hands-on role with meaningful exposure to product, technology, customers, and leadership.
