Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong Banking/BFSI domain experience to manage and deliver technology projects from initiation through successful implementation.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in project planning, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, team coordination, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and end-to-end project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of projects within agreed scope, timeline, quality and budget.
- Define project objectives, scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables and resource requirements.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, QA, Data, Infrastructure and Business teams.
- Manage relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams, senior management and external vendors.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, dashboards, KPIs and management updates.
- Identify, track and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies and escalations.
- Manage project scope, change requests, timelines and dependencies.
- Conduct and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure effective sprint/project execution.
- Coordinate with business teams to understand requirements and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Manage third-party vendors and ensure timely delivery of project commitments.
- Ensure compliance with organizational governance, security, risk and regulatory requirements.
- Drive UAT, release planning, implementation and post-production activities.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to project governance processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement project management best practices.
Mandatory Skills
- 7–10 years of overall IT experience with strong experience in Project Management / Delivery Management.
- Strong experience in Banking / BFSI domain.
- Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery.
- Strong stakeholder and communication management skills.
- Experience in Agile / Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong risk, issue and dependency management experience.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple project dependencies.
- Good understanding of SDLC and IT project delivery processes.
- Experience in project governance, reporting and senior management presentations.
Good to Have
- Experience in Digital Banking, Core Banking, Payments, Lending, Cards, Risk & Compliance, Data or Analytics projects.
- Experience working with large banking/financial services organizations.
- Exposure to Cloud, Data, Analytics or Digital Transformation projects.
- Experience managing onshore/offshore teams.
- Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Power BI or similar project management tools.
- PMP, PRINCE2, CSM or SAFe certification will be an added advantage.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM or relevant project management certification will be an added advantage.
