SuperNic is looking for a responsible and experienced Project & Operations Manager to manage the setup of our new factory and later support the complete day-to-day operations of the plant.
This is not only a construction role. The person will be involved in factory construction, machinery installation, engineering work, production coordination, quality management, inventory movement, supplier management, and overall factory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Factory Construction and Setup
• Manage the complete construction and setup of the new factory
• Coordinate with civil contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and government agencies
• Manage electrical, mechanical, plumbing, utility, fabrication, and infrastructure work
• Monitor project timelines, quality, budgets, and daily site progress
• Collect quotations, compare suppliers, negotiate pricing, and control project costs
• Ensure work is completed according to approved drawings and company requirements
• Manage labourers, contractors, supervisors, and site workers
• Monitor labour efficiency, material usage, wastage, safety, and work quality
Machinery and Engineering
• Coordinate the purchase, delivery, installation, and commissioning of machinery
• Work with machinery suppliers, engineers, technicians, and service providers
• Ensure machinery is installed correctly and ready for production
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and spare parts planning
• Maintain records of machinery, equipment, utilities, repairs, and servicing
• Identify technical problems and coordinate timely solutions
Production and Factory Operations
• Work closely with the Production Manager to achieve daily and monthly production targets
• Monitor production efficiency, manpower usage, downtime, and output
• Help improve production planning, workflow, and utilisation of machinery
• Ensure departments are properly coordinated and production work is not delayed
• Monitor movement of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and production materials
• Ensure proper planning between production, stores, quality, maintenance, and dispatch
Quality and Compliance
• Coordinate with the QA and QC teams to maintain product quality and production standards
• Ensure production follows approved processes, SOPs, hygiene requirements, and quality procedures
• Support the QA team during inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective actions
• Ensure quality issues are reported and resolved quickly
• Coordinate with regulatory consultants and agencies wherever required
Supply Chain and Stores Coordination
• Work closely with the Supply Director for raw materials, packaging materials, machinery, and service requirements
• Coordinate with the Store Manager for material receipt, storage, issue, stock control, and dispatch
• Monitor stock availability to avoid production delays
• Track supplier performance, pricing, delivery timelines, and material quality
• Ensure all incoming and outgoing materials are properly recorded and approved
• Support purchasing, vendor development, and cost-control activities
Team and Management Coordination
• Coordinate with the Production Manager, QA team, Supply Director, Store Manager, Accounts team, Maintenance team, and senior management
• Conduct regular meetings with department heads and follow up on pending work
• Maintain discipline, accountability, and clear responsibility within the factory
• Identify operational problems and take practical corrective action
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management
• Take complete ownership of factory projects and operational follow-ups
Requirements
• Experience in factory projects, plant setup, production, engineering, or industrial operations
• Good understanding of civil, mechanical, electrical, utility, and machinery-related work
• Experience coordinating with production, quality, stores, supply chain, and maintenance teams
• Strong knowledge of supplier management, quotations, negotiations, budgeting, and cost control
• Ability to manage contractors, workers, engineers, department heads, and service providers
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities
• Must be practical, organised, disciplined, and comfortable working on the factory floor
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred
