Job Description
Position: Manager – Project Management
Function: CDMO
Location: Noida
Reporting to: Associate Director – CDMO Pharma
Role Purpose
The Manager – Project Management will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of CDMO pharmaceutical projects, from laboratory development through scale-up, commercial manufacturing, and final delivery to the client. The role requires strong project coordination, client management, cross-functional leadership, and financial oversight to ensure timely delivery with required quality and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Ownership & Execution
- Manage CDMO projects from laboratory development to commercial supply and client delivery.
- Develop and track project plans, timelines, milestones, and critical dependencies.
- Coordinate with R&D, Analytical, QA/QC, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
- Identify risks related to timeline, cost, quality, or scope and proactively drive mitigation actions.
2. Client Management & Communication
- Prepare and lead regular client update calls, progress reviews, and technical discussions.
- Communicate project status, risks, timelines, and action plans clearly and proactively.
- Support discussions related to scope changes, timelines, and cost implications.
3. Timeline, Quality & Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to approved timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor critical quality checkpoints during development, scale-up, validation, and commercial batches.
- Work closely with QA to address deviations, change controls, and client quality queries.
- Ensure timely and complete project documentation as per CDMO and regulatory expectations.
4. Financial & Commercial Oversight
- Track project costs, margins, and overall financial health against approved budgets.
- Coordinate with finance and commercial teams to ensure project profitability.
- Assess financial impact of delays, scope changes, or raw material cost variations.
- Highlight improvement opportunities to optimize cost, yield, and cycle time.
5. Continuous Improvement & Management Reporting
- Identify and drive process, cost, and execution improvement opportunities across projects.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly project status reports to senior management.
- Provide clear visibility on timelines, risks, financials, and client commitments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chemical Engineering Graduate (MBA/M.Sc preferred with Bachelors in B Pharma or Chemistry Background & PMP Certified).
- 8–12 years of experience in CDMO, Pharma, or Specialty Chemicals with strong project management exposure.
- Hands-on experience managing projects from development through commercialization.
