Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the engineering function for the operation in India, working closely with the factory managers to establish and develop the engineering team.
- Introducing improvements to improve reliability , compliance and efficiency & Support automation and modernization initiatives.
- Management of engineering KPIs and strategy to generate improvements.
- Reduce downtime & improve factory efficiencies by adhering to an up-to-date preventative maintenance program.
- Take responsibility for planning and executing engineering projects and Capex investments & Lead installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and production lines.
- To promote and comply with legislative and business compliance standards including health and safety, environmental and technical.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP), factory acts, and local regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and preventive safety measures.
- Responsible for maintenance of all plants . machinery and buildings in line with required standards through effective application of Total Preventive Maintenance system.
- Ensure the adequate systems and resources are developed to provide the adequate assistance to the factories.
- Create and implement maintenance procedures and policies to run the activity in a safe manner and respecting principles of food safety
- Prepare Maintenance plan and record database of equipment & machines to manage schedule of repair & maintenance periodically.
- To ensure necessary spare parts available to minmise production disruption due to equipment breakdowns.
- Build and manage annual budget of repair and maintenance for the factories. Assign budget, schedule and quality requirements.
- Communicate effectively with repair and maintenance team to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions.
- Train and develop the maintenance teams across the factories.
- Define needed cost to maintain Technical activities.
- Report cost management of Technical team to Board of Management.
- Report product specification compliance to Board of Management.
- Report performance of Technical and resources needed to develop and maintain the system at all factories.
- Report project of Engineering and improvement to Board of Management.

Profile of the candidate:
Hard Skills:
Qualification : University Degree in Engineering.
Experience : Above 10 plus years of experience within factory management role. Should have proven experience in a food manufacturing environment.
A high level of technical knowledge is required to understand the usage of equipment.
Knowledge on production planning , manufacturing, and maintenance.
Experience with HSE and food safety standards.
Soft Skills:
People management and coaching experience.
Team player, but also able to solve problems and work independently.
Fluent and Strong in communication ( Verbal & Written ) – English & Tamil ( Mandatory ).
Able to cope with a pressurized environment.
Flexible attitude, able to adapt to and manage change.
