Job Description:
- Overall 7+ years of Experience in EV/Automotive industry with good Knowledge in Product lifecycle & capable in handling multiple ongoing & further programs adhering to the timelines.
- Lead end-to-end program tracking for the new product development milestones such as concept freeze, design release, Vehicle validation and production readiness.
- Support Product Plan, Launch & Business Case development by working with internal stakeholders like Product Development, Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Vehicle Engineering, EL Integration, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct market research and analyse trends, consumer behaviour, and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities
- Develop and maintain detailed integrated project plans covering engineering deliverables, tooling timelines, supplier readiness, homologation, and production milestones.
- Monitor and control program budgets for CAPEX related to Engineering, Tooling & Manufacturing and OPEX related to engineering development activities.
- Define and document product requirements, focusing on EV technology, battery systems, and mobility trends.
- Evaluate feasibility, cost implications, and time-to-market for new products or updates.
- Support long-term product strategy by identifying emerging technologies and industry shifts.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to strategize new launches, highlighting unique selling points (USPs) of EV products.
- Maintain and publish program dashboards covering schedule adherence, financial tracking, risks, open issues, engineering changes, and overall project status to the management.
- Identify technical and program risks related to design development, component sourcing, testing validation, and manufacturing readiness, and drive mitigation plans.
- Prepare status reports for leadership and stakeholders.Maintain comprehensive documentation of product development processes.
- Coordinate design reviews, technical reviews, gateway approvals, and milestone meetings to ensure all deliverables meet defined quality and performance targets.
- Track development timelines including prototype parts, validation samples, tooling readiness, and production ramp-up for EV components.
- Manage engineering change management (ECN/ECR), ensuring proper evaluation of technical impact on cost, timeline, and vehicle performance.
- Prepare executive-level reports and program status updates for leadership highlighting key risks, cost variances, milestone progress, and mitigation actions.
- Emotionally stable and ability to handle crisis situation.
