Introduction
This document outlines the specifications and job details for Senior IT Project Management Managed Services. It is intended to be customer-agnostic and may be used as a generic scope of requirements for managed service engagements.
Objectives of the Managed Service
- Ensure guaranteed resource availability and service continuity.
- Deliver service performance aligned with defined SLAs and KPIs.
- Provide vendor-managed onboarding, replacement, and performance monitoring.
- Establish documentation standards, governance structure, and regular reporting.
- Maintain end-to-end accountability for project management service delivery.
- Eliminate project risk related to absenteeism, turnover, or resource gaps.
Scope of Services – Key Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager under the managed services model shall be responsible for:
- Leading end-to-end IT project delivery, including core systems, payments, digital platforms, migrations, integrations, and upgrades.
- Defining and maintaining project scope, charter, plans, timelines, budgets, and RAID logs.
- Managing cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, vendors, testers, and architects.
- Leading project governance activities, steering committee reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and operational risk requirements.
- Coordinating system integration across multiple domains such as payments, digital channels, AML, finance, and related platforms.
- Managing SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
- Maintaining complete project documentation and handover materials.
Required Expertise & Qualifications
- Minimum 7–11+ years of experience in IT Project Management.
- Proven delivery experience in core systems environments (preferred).
- Experience with payments systems and integrations (preferred).
- Background in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments.
- Strong vendor and third-party management experience.
- Expertise in Waterfall and Hybrid delivery models.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High proficiency in documentation and executive-level reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification (preferred).
- Language proficiency: English required; Arabic preferred.
- Valid and transferable work authorization (minimum 6 months).
Managed Service Requirements
- Clearly defined service delivery model, including roles, responsibilities, and escalation matrix.
- Continuity and backup resource strategy to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including:
- Resource availability target of 98%.
- Replacement SLA of 10 working days.
- 100% compliance with reporting requirements.
- Governance framework including:
- Monthly service and performance reporting.
- Timesheet tracking and validation.
- Quality assurance on deliverables.
- Quarterly service review meetings.
Vendor Deliverables
- Managed service methodology and operating model.
- Profiles for primary and backup project management resources.
- Defined SLAs, KPIs, and governance framework.
- Knowledge transfer and handover plan.
- Commercial model based on a monthly managed service fee.
- Company profile and relevant experience in similar managed services engagements.
