Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Manager – Weldedmesh On-Site Operations with HO based in the Greater Kolkata Area and Project site at Odisha, with flexibility for partial remote work. The Project Manager will oversee on-site operations, ensure project milestones are met, coordinate expediting activities, manage logistics effectively, and supervise inspections of welded mesh solutions. The role also involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders to streamline project workflows and maintaining safety and quality standards on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Progress Management: The position has to act as the primary liaison for the client; monitor project milestones and provide regular progress updates to ensure alignment with contractual timelines.
Site Leadership: Directly manage the Site In-charge, Supervisors, and construction labor force. Ensure optimal labor productivity and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Operational Oversight: Have to manage daily site administration and logistics to ensure zero downtime in operations.
Financial Control: Has to take full responsibility for daily petty expenses, maintaining meticulous records of site-level spending and resource procurement.
Reporting: Generate daily and weekly site reports for the management team regarding work progress, labour attendance, and material consumption.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Expediting, with the ability to manage and optimize procurement timelines.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of project schedules and deliverables.
- Experience in conducting on-site Inspection to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Skills in Logistics Management to oversee supply chain operations and resource allocation.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; certifications in project management (like PMP or PRINCE2) are advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards relevant to the manufacturing and construction sectors is a plus.
Educational Background: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred) or Civil Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience specifically in handling onsite Turnkey Projects.
Industry Knowledge: Proven track record in site management, preferably involving weldedmesh or heavy industrial construction.
Government Sector: Experience handling Government project sites and understanding the specific compliance/documentation required is highly desirable.
