Role DescriptionWe're seeking a driven Mid-Level Project Lead to anchor client operations and content strategy at SciRio. In this role, you'll be the bridge between our scientific clients and our creative team—owning project delivery from brief to final output, while also shaping SciRio's own voice as a brand. This is a remote full-time position. The ideal candidate is a science-literate communicator who thrives on ownership, can manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, and brings both strategic thinking and editorial finesse to the table.
Core Responsibilities- Lead and manage all client communications, act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, and strategise content and communication projects tailored to each client's objectives
- Drive team building and project planning to ensure successful, on-time execution across all client deliverables
- Develop and execute content strategies across SciRio's own communication channels—including newsletters, blogs, social media, and website copy
- Conceptualise and produce written content for clients across formats, including long-form articles, LinkedIn posts, email campaigns, scientific newsletters, and knowledge products
- Work on strategic brand-building initiatives that elevate SciRio's positioning in the science communication space
- Develop, organise, and maintain company knowledge bases, SOPs, templates, and internal resources
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals in close coordination with the founder
- Handle any related internal or external operational requirements in direct collaboration with the founder
Experience- 3–5 years of professional experience in content writing, science communication, editorial work, or client-facing project management
- Proven ability to manage client relationships independently, from brief to delivery
- Demonstrated experience creating long-form and short-form content across digital and print formats
- Background working with scientific, technical, or healthcare content is strongly preferred
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams or managing junior contributors is a plus
- Portfolio or work samples showcasing range—scientific accuracy alongside compelling narrative
Hard Skills- Strong writing and editing skills across formats: blogs, newsletters, social media, white papers, and client reports
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately represent scientific and medical content for non-specialist audiences
- Working proficiency with project management or collaboration tools (Notion, Asana, Trello, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing platforms, or social media scheduling tools
- Competency with AI writing and productivity tools for drafting, ideation, and workflow efficiency
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and digital content best practices
Soft Skills- Exceptional ability to distil complex scientific information into clear, engaging, and accurate narratives
- Strong ownership mindset—comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks
- Strategic thinking: can contribute to how a project is framed, not just how it's executed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for both client-facing and internal team interactions
- High organisational rigour with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines without compromising quality
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment
- Proactive approach to problem-solving—flags issues early and comes with solutions
Nice to Have- Academic background or work experience in life sciences, biotechnology, public health, or related fields
- Experience with science journalism, science policy communication, or healthcare content
- Exposure to brand strategy or content strategy in a B2B context
- Familiarity with CRM tools and client pipeline management
- Understanding of the Indian life sciences and biotech ecosystem
- Prior experience in a startup or small-team environment
