Summary:This role will be responsible for supporting the SCM P2P (Procure to Pay) project transformation. It will ensure adherence to data conduct policy and standards, effectively aligning with the project plan to deliver the project objectives. The role involves implementing a well-governed, simplified framework that protects the organization, its values, and reputation through meaningful challenge and dialogue, partnered with accountability and ownership.
Responsibilities:- Strategy:
- Mobilize SCM P2P project rapidly, coordinating and defining key contributors; driving outcomes from multiple stakeholders to get changes properly established and running with proper governance and controls.
- Quality assures the work of the wider team and identifies delivery schedule conflicts, issues, and weak points.
- Ensure compliance with Group Data Conduct policy and manage/embed controls across Privacy, records keeping, data quality, Data Sovereignty.
- Business:
- Present clear options and recommendations, facilitate decision-making, and enable clear understanding in key stakeholders of risks, outcomes, and trade-offs.
- Collaborate with other functions to ensure the end-to-end solutions are aligned as per data governance standards and principles.
- Facilitate decision-making of senior stakeholders through articulation of constraints, conflicts, and issues with options.
- Provide first-line Data conduct assurance for SCM P2P change project agenda and proactively take action to remediate issues and manage risks.
- Processes:
- Perform Process impacts for SCM project and associated systems with end-to-end alignment of data governance standards and principles.
- SCM P2P project review for adherence to Data Governance principles for all stages of the project.
- Review of Data Migration approach, data classification, data mapping, data transitions, and data reports with DG inputs.
- Review of data masking logic in various environments in systems.
- Review usage of AI (Robotics Process Automation/Artificial Intelligence).
- Review of data sharing with downstream/upstream/third party systems via API/Interface/SFTP/etc.
- Ensure Record Retention Schedule and destruction policy is available and reviewed by DG.
- SCM systems Security Matrix and User Access Review as part of Identity and Access Management.
- Review of reports with user access list.
- People & Talent:
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.
- Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Maintain high standards of collaboration and professionalism across functions.
- Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and document data inconsistencies and potential risks during SCM P2P project.
- Ensure all data activities comply with governance controls and audit requirements.
- Escalate high-risk issues to the data lead and project team.
- Governance:
- Ensure new SCM technology products deliver effective management of operational risks in compliance with applicable internal policies, external laws, and regulations at a country/global level.
- Ensure adherence to data quality frameworks and project governance guidelines.
- Review and provide guidance to the project team on the data lifecycle policies while handling sensitive information.
- Act as a data steward for assigned master data objects during the transformation.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Support Data governance initiatives for SCM P2P project to comply with data quality, data privacy, and confidentiality regulations.
- Partner & drive ICS programme effectively and efficiently to reduce and manage risk within the function.
- End to end analysis of where data is stored; who can access the data; how is data accessed; what are the security controls in place.
- Ensure Data Quality is maintained at a high level of integrity.
- Review information security risk assessments. Document potential risk vectors, monitor controls, and ensure risk is addressed.
- Ability to present the identified risks to the business with suggestions around mitigating control.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and Technology teams.
- Prepare an assessment covering documentation of all SCM data across systems/applications including unstructured SCM data residing across our network & vendors.
- Enforce Security Policy, Standards and Controls including oversight of remediation activities of SCM data.
- Enforce and monitor secure destruction of data, monitoring and management of worker use of SCM data/Banking Data; implement DLP (Data Leakage Protection) and IMR (Issue Management Register).
- Research on trends to meet future information security requirements.
- Support any training and awareness initiatives relating to minimizing security risks.
- Manage audit requests and provide timely management responses to the findings, including remediation actions.
- Ensure data controls are measured and metric provided to relevant forums.
- Detail oriented with focus on structured data documentation.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s / master's degree in Banking Operations / HR / Computer Applications / Computer Science / Information Technology, Engineering, Finance or its equivalent.
Required Skills:- Minimum 12 years of experience in SCM/HR/Banking Domain with focus on Data Governance, Risk & Information Security.
- Experience as Risk and Controls Expert.
- Experience in writing assurance reports is an added advantage.
- Knowledge around industry standard security control frameworks.
- Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organization’s goal.
- Able to get things done in a quick-paced environment.
- Good understanding of regulatory compliance, security, risk, and controls.
- Ability to collect and analyze data, establish facts, and make recommendations.
- Good Technical skills and good understanding in Information security control domains across platforms/Applications and Data Protection.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
