Minimum requirements:
- Completed university degree
- At least 10 years of professional experience
- Proven leadership experience in international projects
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Excellent written and spoken German skills
- Regional experience in India or South Asia (minimum 2 years)
- Demonstrated experience working with both public and private sector stakeholders in agriculture and agricultural trade in India
Additional qualifications/experiences, which will be considered favorable:
- Academic background in economic sciences, agricultural sciences, political sciences or in related fields
- Experience in agri-product development, marketing, and export promotion/international agricultural trade
- Relevant knowledge in databased agriculture, artificial intelligence and digitization/digital applications in an agricultural context
- Sound knowledge of the German food and agricultural sector (including retail and wholesale) as well as a good network
- Ideally knowledge of the Indian food and agricultural sector as well as a good network
- Track record in facilitating economic cooperations
- Experience in international cooperation, preferably with government institutions and private sector stakeholders
- Several years of management experience in complex projects
- Diplomatic skills and familiar working with high level government institutions
- Familiar with accounting procedures, administrative processes and regulations in connection with publicly financed projects or willingness to familiarize yourself with it
- Hindi language skills are an asset
