Job Title: Head – Project Head
Department: Operations
Reporting To: Managing Director/ Dotted Line to Chief Executive Officer
Location: Faridabad(6days work from office)
Role Summary
The Project Head will be responsible for end-to-end execution and delivery of interior fit-out and turnkey projects across retail, commercial, hospitality, residential and corporate segments. The role involves leading project planning, execution, coordination, budgeting, vendor management, quality control, client management and team leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and as per design and quality standards. The position is critical for driving operational excellence, profitability, execution efficiency and customer satisfaction in a fast-scaling interior design organization with annual revenues of approximately ₹100 crores.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
* Lead end-to-end execution of multiple interior fit-out projects simultaneously.
* Develop detailed project schedules, milestones and execution plans.
* Ensure timely mobilization of manpower, contractors, materials and site resources.
* Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets.
* Drive smooth handover and project closure processes.
2. Client Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
* Conduct regular review meetings with clients and stakeholders.
* Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and relationship management.
* Handle escalation management and resolve execution-related concerns proactively.
3. Team Leadership
* Lead and mentor Execution Teams on site.
* Build accountability and ownership culture across project teams.
* Conduct performance reviews and capability development for execution teams.
* Ensure interdepartmental coordination with Design, Procurement, Sales and Finance teams.
4. Budgeting & Cost Control
* Prepare and monitor project budgets and profitability.
* Track project costing, BOQ deviations and variation orders.
* Ensure optimum utilization of resources and cost efficiency.
* Monitor billing, certification and payment collection coordination.
5. Vendor & Contractor Management
* Identify, evaluate and manage contractors, vendors and suppliers.
* Ensure vendor performance as per quality and timeline expectations.
* Negotiate commercial terms and work orders where required.
* Maintain strong subcontractor and partner ecosystem
6. Quality Assurance
* Ensure execution quality as per approved drawings and brand standards.
* Conduct regular site audits and inspections.
* Implement SOPs and quality benchmarks across projects.
* Ensure snag-free project completion and timely rectification.
7. Site Safety & Compliance
* Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory compliance.
* Monitor site discipline, labour compliance and documentation.
* Ensure implementation of health & safety practices across all project sites.
8. MIS & Reporting
* Prepare weekly and monthly project review reports.
* Present project status, risks and recovery plans to management.
* Maintain dashboards for project timelines, costs, productivity and profitability.
* Drive data-based project decision making.
Experience
* 6–8 years of experience in interior fit-out / turnkey execution
* Experience handling medium size retail, commercial or hospitality projects
* Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Prior experience in a Rs 50 crore-100 crore interior design or contracting company preferred
