Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage engineering projects and processes related to substation and grid automation systems.
- Work independently with limited supervision while ensuring successful project execution.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and review work of junior engineers and professionals.
- Support design, integration, and configuration of SCADA and protection relay systems.
- Lead testing and commissioning activities for substation automation and control systems.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to automation, protection, and communication systems.
- Ensure project deliverables meet technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, reports, and project updates.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within engineering projects.
Skills Required:
- Strong experience in Project Management within power systems or grid automation projects
- Knowledge of Substation Automation Systems (SAS) and Grid Automation technologies
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems configuration and integration
- Expertise in protection relays, control systems, and electrical protection schemes
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of substation automation systems
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus, and DNP3
- Ability to review engineering drawings, technical documentation, and system designs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex engineering issues
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field
