*Job Summary*
Hiring an experienced *Project Engineer* to independently handle multiple interior fit-out projects from kickoff to handover. You will plan, execute, and monitor residential & commercial projects, manage site teams, and be the key point of contact for clients, consultants, and vendors.
*Key Responsibilities*
- *Project Planning & Execution*: Prepare project schedules, allocate resources, and execute interior projects as per approved drawings, BOQ, and timelines
- *Team Management*: Lead and supervise Site Engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors. Ensure productivity and discipline across 2-3 parallel sites
- *Client & Consultant Coordination*: Conduct weekly client meetings, site walkthroughs, and coordinate with architects/PMCs for approvals and design changes
- *Quality & Safety*: Enforce quality standards for joinery, finishes, services. Implement site safety protocols and ensure zero-accident execution
- *Cost Control*: Monitor project budgets, control material wastage, verify subcontractor bills, and flag cost overruns to management
- *Material & Vendor Management*: Approve material indents, coordinate with purchase team, track deliveries, and manage vendor performance
- *Documentation*: Maintain site reports, hindrance registers, MOM, inspection requests, and as-built drawings for handover
- *Billing & Handover*: Certify contractor RA bills, prepare client billing with QS team, manage snag lists, and ensure smooth project handover
*Required Skills & Qualifications*
- *Education*: B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering
- *Experience*: 5-7 years in interior contracting/construction. *Must have independently handled 3+ interior projects of 5,000+ http://sq.ft*
- *Technical*: Strong in interior fit-out works – modular carpentry, false ceiling, flooring, MEP coordination, and finishing
- *Software*: MS Project/Primavera for scheduling, AutoCAD for drawing review, MS Excel for MIS and billing
- *Skills*: Leadership, client handling, decision making, vendor negotiation, and problem-solving under pressure
- *Other*: Two-wheeler mandatory. Willing to travel across Chennai sites. Located near Keelkattalai preferred
