Role Description The Project Engineer will manage end-to-end HVAC project execution, from technical design review and planning to installation, commissioning, and handover. This full-time, on-site role is based in India and involves coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing technical drawings and layouts, supporting equipment selection, overseeing site activities, conducting inspections and testing, and maintaining detailed project documentation. The Project Engineer will also assist in resolving technical issues, optimizing system performance, and providing project status updates to stakeholders. Periodic travel to project sites within India (and occasionally internationally) may be required.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including design principles, chiller and aircon systems, and basic load calculations.
- Experience in project planning and coordination, including scheduling, resource allocation, and site supervision.
- Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance procedures for commercial HVAC projects.
- Proficiency with common engineering and office software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar CAD tools, MS Office).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; prior experience in HVAC or building services engineering is preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site at different project locations in India, with flexibility for occasional travel.
