The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in telecom, broadband, FTTH, fibre rollout, or last-mile connectivity projects. Strong coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills are essential. Responsible for end-to-end delivery of broadband and fibre connectivity projects across the designated area/location — from site surveys and civil works to provisioning, testing, and handover — ensuring projects finish on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end project delivery: Plan, schedule, and manage rollout of fibre-to-premises (FTTx) and broadband installations, coordinating civil, splicing, RF, and provisioning activities.
- Stakeholder management: Act as single point of contact for customers, field teams, vendors, local authorities, and internal functions (sales, NOC, billing) to ensure smooth implementation.
- Vendor & subcontractor control: Select, manage, and audit third-party contractors; enforce SLAs, health & safety, and quality requirements.
- Resource & schedule planning: Create detailed project plans, allocate resources (engineers, vans, materials), track milestones, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Risk, quality & compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, enforce quality checks, ensure regulatory permits/wayleaves are obtained, and maintain safety standards.
- Performance reporting: Produce weekly/monthly status reports, KPI dashboards (e.g., time-to-activate, first-time-right, customer acceptance), and escalate deviations promptly.
- Cost control: Track project budgets, manage material procurement processes, validate invoices, and work to optimize delivery costs.
- Continuous improvement: Implement process improvements, lessons-learned reviews, and standard operating procedures to increase delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Handover & documentation: Ensure completed installations are handed over to operations/NOC with accurate site documentation, as-built records, and test results.
Required experience & skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in project or delivery management for broadband, fibre, telecom rollout, or related civil/utility projects.
- Proven experience managing field teams and third-party contractors in metro or dense urban or rural environments.
- Strong knowledge of fibre technologies (FTTx, GPON/Active Ethernet), splicing, OFC civil works, and basic network provisioning workflows.
- Solid planning, scheduling, and project-control skills (MS Project / Primavera or equivalent).
- Good stakeholder and vendor management skills; confident negotiating SLAs and resolving escalations.
- Comfortable with frequent field visits across Mumbai and flexible hours to handle escalations.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Results-oriented, organized, and hands-on problem solver.
Educational background:
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in engineering (Telecom / Electronics)
- Background in telecom, ISP, broadband, FTTH, fibre rollout/field operations.
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.
Compensation & benefits
- Opportunity to work on high-impact broadband/fibre projects.
- CTC: 6–10 LPA (range dependent on experience and last drawn salary).
