Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai for a Project Coordinator role at Sevalaya. The coordinator will oversee and manage projects aimed at community development, ensuring goals are met in a timely manner. Responsibilities include planning and implementing projects, coordinating teams, monitoring progress, preparing detailed reports, and fostering partnerships with local stakeholders. The role also involves supervising budgets, adhering to organizational guidelines, and addressing any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Project Management and Organization: Strong skills in planning, execution, coordination, and managing timelines.
- Communication and Team Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution: Analytical thinking, decision-making skills, and the ability to handle challenges efficiently.
- Experience in Outreach and Community Development: Knowledge of working with NGOs or similar sectors is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using project management tools and basic computer applications like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Additional Qualifications: Familiarity with local communities and languages in Tamil Nadu, as well as prior experience in budget management and reporting.
