Key Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the central coordination point for the efficient execution of CGD pipeline and plumbing activities across Chennai and the neighboring areas. The role involves coordinating with the principal CGD company, the company's installation teams, and the Head Office administrative management team to ensure smooth communication, timely execution, and effective project delivery.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities at the assigned site.
- Ensure the availability of manpower, materials, and equipment for smooth project execution.
- Monitor project schedules and help ensure work is completed within the planned timeline.
Site & Client Coordination
- Communicate with clients regarding project progress and site requirements.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Attend client meetings and provide project updates when required.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Collect and review daily work progress reports from site teams.
- Identify delays or issues and coordinate with the concerned teams to resolve them.
- Maintain project records, reports, and other required documentation.
Billing & Documentation
- Coordinate with the Finance and Operations teams for timely preparation of project bills.
- Verify completed work before submitting billing documents.
- Maintain proper documentation related to work completion and client approvals.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with company quality and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve site-related issues.
- Support the team in achieving project targets within the committed schedule.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 1 year of experience in City Gas Distribution (CGD), Gas Pipeline, Utility Infrastructure, Optical Fiber, Water Pipeline, or MEP projects.
- Basic knowledge of pipeline laying and site execution.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and project documentation will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel and work on rotational shifts, including night shifts, as required by project needs.
