1. Project Monitoring & Operational Controlling
- Financial Reporting: Ensure reporting consistency across operations, fabrication, sourcing, and participating entities for Financial Project Review validation.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and report the cash flow of the contract and manage foreign exchange exposures.
- Site Forecasting: Build site forecasts based on the individual project projections.
- Revenue & Margin Protection: Provide early warnings for probable Gross Margin variations and ensure robust documentation for Non-Agreed Variation Orders.
2. Financial Strategy & Business Partnership
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic business partner to support the project team in managing contracts with support functions, banks, and financial institutions.
- Cash Optimization: Optimize "cash-in" and "cash-out" by analyzing contract billing milestones and identifying optimal interpretation options with the Contract Manager.
- Negotiation Support: Contribute to the negotiation of variation orders, including internal costing and customer pricing.
- Performance Analysis: Perform analysis on actuals, targets, and forecasts to ensure achievement of project objectives and propose action plans to improve financial positions.
3. Treasury & Governance
- Bonds & Guarantees: Manage performance bonds and guarantees in coordination with the Treasury Team.
- Risk & Opportunity Reporting: Properly report risks, savings, and opportunities within project financials.
- Rule Guardianship: Ensure project reviews are held in accordance with procedures to maintain consistency and compliance.
4. Implementation of Global Standards
- Standard Development: Implement and further develop global standards for project controlling within the region to facilitate transparency and accountability.
- Operational Integration: Foster close relationships between local operations and project controlling teams from tender to project closure
KPI: Cost Control & Budget Management: Effectiveness in identifying risks, savings, and opportunities to optimize project costs.
- Cash Management: Efficiency in managing project cash flow and optimizing billing milestones.
- Compliance Rate: Adherence to project review procedures and global project controlling standards.
- Forecast Accuracy: Reliability of site forecasts and early warning systems for Gross Margin variations.
- Reporting Timeliness: Delivery of accurate financial information for Financial Project Review validation.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / ICWA / CFA / CMA
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive project controlling experience in the EPC market.
- Hands-on experience with daily finance activities such as cost controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proven background in managing financial risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
- Technical Excellence: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders such as the Project Manager.
- Matrix Organization: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, reporting to both Finance Manager and the PM.
- Statutory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST for works contracts, and cross-border tax considerations.
- Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel from the Ahmedabad base to the Dholera site twice per week.
