Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager with strong expertise in Primavera P6 to lead planning, scheduling, and performance management across construction projects.
This role goes beyond scheduling and focuses on integrated project controls, including time, cost, resource, and performance reporting. The role involves both project delivery and client-facing consulting engagements.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can structure, analyse, and improve project controls systems, and play a key role in supporting business growth through high-quality delivery and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain cost- and resource-loaded baseline schedules in Primavera P6
- Define WBS, activity logic, dependencies, and key milestones
- Perform critical path, float, and constraint analysis
- Prepare and manage look-ahead schedules
Project Controls & Performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance tracking
- Integrate schedule, progress, and cost data
- Identify delays, risks, and recommend corrective actions
- Support resource planning and utilisation tracking
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports
- Develop KPIs and dashboards
- Present insights to stakeholders
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Align planning with procurement and site execution
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain planning systems and data integrity
- Improve processes and reporting frameworks
Business Growth Contribution
- Support client-facing consulting engagements
- Build credibility with clients through strong delivery
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing clients
- Contribute to strengthening the company’s project controls capability
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–8 years’ experience in project controls, planning, or scheduling
- Strong Primavera P6 experience
- Understanding of construction methodologies
- Experience in reporting and forecasting
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to cost control, earned value, or delay analysis
- Experience with international projects (Australia/US preferred)
- Experience with dashboards (Excel, Power BI)
