About Cephlon
We're building something different.
Cephlon is a privacy-first technology company — we make enterprise software, communications infrastructure, and AI systems that put people in control of their own data. We're not an agency. We don't take shortcuts. We build products we'd use ourselves, and we believe privacy is a fundamental right, not a checkbox.
We move fast, and we do work that actually matters. If you want to spend your time making slides for a company that sells soap, this isn't the place. If you want to get in at a company building serious technology — keep reading.
The Role
This isn't a traditional communications role. We're not looking for someone who follows a brief and moves on. A Project and Communications Assistant at Cephlon sits at the intersection of strategy, client intelligence, and business development. You'll develop a deep understanding of what we build, who needs it, and how to close the gap between the two. You'll learn how enterprise decisions get made, how to read a room, or an inbox and how to communicate in a way that earns trust rather than just attention. You'll work directly with leadership. That means your thinking shapes real decisions from day one.
What You'll Actually Do
- Develop a genuine understanding of Cephlon's products, market position, and competitive landscape — and keep that understanding current
- Identify the right organisations and decision-makers who would benefit from what we build, and think critically about why and how to approach them
- Prepare leadership for client conversations — background research, talking points, context — so every interaction is informed and purposeful
- Distill complex product and technical information into clear, honest formats: briefs, summaries, one-pagers that actually get read
- Spot market signals, industry shifts, and conversations worth joining — and bring them forward proactively
- Help shape how Cephlon communicates externally: what we say, how we say it, and where
- Coordinate across product, strategy, and leadership to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
What We're Looking For
We don't care where you studied or whether you did. We care that you're sharp, that you keep learning, and that you can show us work that proves it.
- Clear thinking. Can you take a complicated situation and make sense of it quickly?
- Clear writing. Can you explain that same situation to someone in two paragraphs?
- Intellectual curiosity. Do you follow threads because you genuinely want to know, not because someone asked you to?
- Ownership. Do you finish things? Do you flag problems before they become problems?
- Judgment. Do you know the difference between what sounds good and what's actually true?
- Long-term thinking. Are you here to build a career, or just a resume line?
If you've done any relevant classwork, freelance work, or personal projects, that represent these things, tell us about them. We read everything.
What This Leads To
We're building a company for the long run. We want people who want to be part of that.
