Project Béisbol is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth in Latin America through baseball and softball, international exchange, educational opportunities, and leadership development. Since 2008, Project Béisbol has benefited over 11,000 young baseball and softball players in 150 programs across 7 countries with the support from the U.S. Department of State, corporate sponsors, MLB teams and players, and many more. Role Description

Join the PB Team in South Florida & travel to Colombia to see the impact first hand! As an Operations Intern, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission by leading up the organization’s logistics operations from our South Florida headquarters. Working with Project Béisbol team members in the region, you’ll assist with event operations, ensuring the success of fundraising initiatives and community outreach programs. This internship offers a unique opportunity for growth, providing experience in logistics, non-profit management, and international program coordination. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to travel to Colombia at the end of your internship to engage with the kids and communities, and experience the PB mission and impact first-hand.


Transportation: Personal transportation required

Compensation: School credit*, transportation reimbursement*, 2 week, fully paid mission to Colombia.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the logistics of receiving donated equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Organize and prepare shipments, ensuring equipment reaches programming locations efficiently and securely.
  • Coordinate with partner organizations and volunteers to streamline shipping processes.
  • Work with the founder and director of development to establish and build relationships with baseball organizations, little leagues, baseball-related businesses, and other sponsors to facilitate equipment and monetary donations.
  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising and community events.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve operational workflows.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions about program delivery and impact.

Qualifications

  • Active undergraduate/graduate student or recent graduate.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and a team player.
  • Passion for sports, education, and community development.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese proficiency is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • This role requires some travel between different locations; candidates must have their own reliable vehicle.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, willingness to learn to operates CRMs and inventory management tools.


*Trip to Colombia contingent on completionof entire 6-month internship
