VASCSC is looking for young science postgraduates having sound understanding of science and interest in innovative education.
Qualification
First class post graduates in science/mathematics, or engineering graduates in relevant disciplines.
Job Description
- Conducting science education, popularization activities
- Facilitating students’ projects, practicals and activities in VASCSC labs
- Handling visits of the schools at VASCSC
- Conducting sessions in teachers training
- Assisting in development of STEM TLM
- Conducting school outreach activities
- Facilitating mobile science lab/exhibitions
- Documentation, other tasks as assigned.
Skills Required
In-depth subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, ability to address large groups of audience, lateral and ‘out of the box thinking’, ability to engage children in interesting and meaningful manner, proficiency in computer applications. Fluency in English is must. Knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi desirable.
Positions are based at Ahmedabad. The work would involve travel. The candidates should be self-motivated, medically fit and willing to travel as and when required.
Fixed term appointment, initially for one year; extendable.
Salary
Consolidated salary in range of Rs. 29000 to 33000 per month.
