Role Description The Project Assistant role is a full-time, Hybrid position based in Goa, India. The Project Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and execution of programs and initiatives related to PoSH awareness, capacity building, and community engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in project scheduling, documentation, and reporting; coordinating meetings, workshops, and training sessions; and maintaining communication with partners, stakeholders, and participants. The role involves supporting research and data collection activities, preparing presentations and outreach materials, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items. The Project Assistant will collaborate closely with project leads to monitor progress against objectives, manage logistical arrangements, and contribute to the smooth implementation of field and advocacy activities.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, including experience managing schedules, events, and project documentation.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and outreach materials clearly and accurately.
- Basic research and data handling abilities, such as gathering information, maintaining records, and supporting monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, including comfort interacting with diverse communities, partners, and participants.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and follow-through.
- Commitment to gender equality, safe workplaces, and social impact, with openness to learning about PoSH laws and related frameworks.
- Proficiency in common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations); familiarity with digital communication tools is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, law, humanities, management, or a related field; prior experience in NGOs, community work, or training projects is a plus.
