Role Description The Project Architect will lead the design, coordination, and documentation of pre-fabricated steel building projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards. This full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata includes preparing and reviewing architectural drawings, technical specifications, and construction details for industrial, commercial, and specialized steel structures. The role involves collaborating closely with structural and MEP engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to integrate design solutions and resolve technical issues. The Project Architect will oversee submittals, support approvals, and participate in site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with design intent. Responsibilities also include applying relevant codes and sustainability guidelines, coordinating BIM models where applicable, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture, including building design, detailing, and familiarity with industrial and prefabricated steel structures.
- Experience with Project Management activities such as planning, coordination, schedule tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in handling Submittals, including preparation, review, and coordination with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for design coordination and documentation.
- Awareness of sustainability practices and standards, including exposure to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or similar frameworks.
- Relevant experience with CAD and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and comfort with reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent professional qualification; valid architectural registration or eligibility is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
