Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC) is a premier institution working in the field of innovative STEM education. VASCSC is looking for a Programme Officer - Partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, and will be responsible for the following:
- Build and nurture partnerships, and mobilise resources for the organisation
- Identify and engage with potential partners, supporters, and donors
- Prepare proposals, EOIs, RFP responses, and award applications
- Onboard VASCSC on funding and networking platforms
- Maintain documentation, reports, MIS, and organisational databases
- Communication with potential and existing donors, partners
- Ensure reporting and due diligence as required by donors
- Liaise with project teams to compile information for donor reports
- Maintain and update donor databases and donor management systems
- Prepare reports, briefs, presentations, and other institutional communications
- Corporate communication including social media, website, annual reports, press releases
- Represent VASCSC at meetings, forums, and networks.
Qualification and Experience
Preferably a science graduate with post-graduate education in management or communication, with 3+ years of relevant post-qualification experience, ideally in the education or social development sector.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication, networking, and representational abilities
- Fluency in English with working knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi
- Proficiency in computer applications and internet use
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to plan, coordinate and execute various activities and events efficiently
- Lateral and out-of-the-box thinking
Additional Information
- The position is based at VASCSC, Ahmedabad.
- Candidate should be willing to travel as required.
- The appointment will be for one year, extendable based on performance.
