Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Programme Leader for a UK University's Online Business and Accountancy degree programs.
Job description
To be responsible for the leadership and delivery of teaching, assessment, programme administration and scholarly activity in the Business and Accountancy areas
To act as a role model to others in relation to excellence in learning and teaching
To contribute to the recruitment, support and development of WINC Online teaching team
To respond to the feedback of staff, students and external examiners and maintain a culture of continuous quality enhancement
To undertake research and scholarly activity to contribute to the development of own subject
To undertake curriculum development and quality enhancement activities
To work effectively with the WINC management team degree awarding body (University of Greater Manchester) to ensure compliance and the delivery of good practice.
To work demonstrate flexibility in own role and responsibilities when required
To teach using synchronous Online technologies on the Business UG and PG degree programmes
Qualifications
- Honours degree and Master’s degree in a relevant subject area
- PhD or Professional Doctorate
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), or a willingness to obtain this
Experience
- Proven track record in teaching, assessment and course management in higher education , including the design, delivery, assessment and reapproval of programmes of study
- Experience in contributing and implementing higher education quality assurance improvements
- Experience in supporting a diverse range of higher education students and monitoring their progress
- Experience in a range of higher education programme administration activities especially involvement in the administration of Online /remote/distance learning programmes
Knowledge and understanding
Knowledge of the demands of programme leadership within the English Higher Education Sector
Knowledge of the UK Framework for Higher Education Qualifications and the requirements of teaching and assessments at levels 6 and 7
Expert knowledge of own relevant teaching specialism
Excellent understanding of the demands of teaching diverse student cohorts in the online classroom
Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance processes associated with programme leadership
