The All India Institute of Local Self-Government (AIILSG), established in 1926, has been a key resource and training institution for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across India, promoting best practices in urban governance, education, research, and capacity building. With 30 regional centers nationwide, AIILSG provides training and development to over 1.5 million stakeholders, enhancing skills and knowledge in urban services delivery. The institute also manages specialized centers and engages in various projects, seminars, and conferences to address pressing urban development challenges and promote policy advocacy. AIILSG works closely with municipal officials, staff, and policy leaders to support effective administration and implementation of urban programs.
Cluster Redevelopment Awareness Program – Thane
Implemented by: AIILSG In collaboration with: Thane Municipal Corporation
The All India Institute of Local Self-Government (AIILSG), in collaboration with Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), is implementing a 6-month project focused on creating public awareness about Cluster Redevelopment in Thane.
We are inviting applications for the following positions in the Program Management Unit (PMU):
1. Program Supervisor (4 Positions)
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and support overall project implementation.
• Liaise with Thane Municipal Corporation, AIILSG, and stakeholders.
• Plan and monitor awareness campaigns and field activities.
• Supervise Field Executives and support their work.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation.
• Ensure smooth execution of project activities.
Educational Background:
• MSW / MA in Development Studies / Humanities / Social Sciences or related fields
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in urban development, social sector, or government projects
• Effective communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage field teams.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and AI tools, Power BI
2. Field Executive (26 Positions)
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Conduct field-level awareness activities on Cluster Redevelopment
• Support community meetings, surveys, and outreach programs.
• Mobilize citizens, housing societies, and local groups.
• Collect field data, feedback, and photographs.
• Assist supervisors in project implementation.
Educational Background:
• B.A, B. Com, B.E, B.Sc., MSW / MA in Development Studies / Humanities / Social Sciences or related fields
• Candidates from any academic stream are eligible to apply (Freshers are welcome to apply)
Preferred Skills:
• Effective communication skills (Proficiency in local language preferred)
• Willingness to travel within Thane.
• Interest in community engagement and public awareness work
• Initiative-taking and people-friendly approach
Location: Thane (Field Based role)
Project Duration: 6 months (Extendable based on performance/project requirements)
Compensation: As per project norms/industry standards
