Your role
Khatabook is looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead and scale MSME merchant onboarding and QR activation programs. This role sits at the intersection of operations,growth, and field execution, working closely with Feet-on-Street (FOS) teams to drive merchant acquisition and activation.
You will own end-to-end program execution, from strategy to on-ground implementation,ensuring high-quality merchant onboarding and improved conversion metrics
What would you do at Khatabook?
1. Program Ownership & Execution
● Own and manage end-to-end MSME onboarding and QR activation programs
● Design scalable processes to improve merchant acquisition, activation, and retention
● Drive execution across cities through FOS teams
2. FOS Management & Performance
● Work closely with field sales (FOS) teams to drive daily/weekly targets
● Define KPIs and monitor conversion funnels (lead onboarding activation)→ →
● Identify gaps and implement corrective actions to improve productivity
3. Conversion & Funnel Optimization
● Analyze onboarding funnel and optimize drop-offs and activation rates
● Run experiments to improve merchant activation and engagement
● Track key metrics like:
○ Lead-to-onboard conversion
○ QR activation rate
○ Active merchant %
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
● Partner with Product, Ops, and Tech teams to improve onboarding journeys
● Work with Marketing for campaigns and GTM execution
● Coordinate with Risk/Compliance for merchant verification processes
5. Data & Insights
● Build dashboards and reports to track performance
● Use data to drive decisions and improve program outcomes
● Present insights and recommendations to leadership
What are we looking for
4–6 years of experience in:
○ MSME merchant onboarding
○ QR / payment product activation
○ Field sales program management
● Prior experience in companies like
Paytm / PhonePe / BharatPe / fintech startups preferred
● Strong understanding of:
○ Merchant lifecycle (lead onboarding activation retention)→ → →
○ Field sales operations and FOS management
● Proven ability to:
○ Drive conversions at scale
○ Manage large distributed field teams
○ Work in high-growth, fast-paced environments
Skills Required
