The client is looking for a technically strong and execution-oriented professional for MVIS (Machine Vision Inspection System) projects. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for technical execution including camera/lens/light selection, BOM finalization, field deployment, installation supervision, and coordination with internal engineering and customer teams. The candidate should have practical exposure to machine vision systems and should be capable of independently driving deployment activities from concept to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end execution of MVIS / AI Vision projects for railway applications. Finalize technical BOM for vision systems including: Cameras Lenses Illumination systems Mounting arrangements Enclosures Networking and communication components Conduct site feasibility studies and evaluate environmental conditions for deployment. Decide camera positioning, illumination placement, field of view, and image acquisition strategy. Coordinate with AI/software teams for image quality, data collection, triggering, synchronization, and analytics requirements. Lead onsite installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, customers, and installation teams. Validate image quality and optimize system performance under real field conditions. Prepare technical documents, installation reports, execution plans, and progress updates. Support FAT/SAT, demonstrations, and customer acceptance activities. Track project execution timelines and ensure closure of technical and deployment activities.
Required Skills
Practical experience in: Industrial/Machine Vision systems Camera selection Lens selection Lighting/illumination design Vision system integration Image acquisition and optimization Understanding of: Ethernet/IP networking Industrial communication interfaces Field installation practices Electrical and mechanical coordination Strong execution and troubleshooting capability. Ability to independently handle customer discussions and onsite technical decisions. Good coordination and project ownership skills.
Preferred Experience
6-10 years of experience in: Machine Vision Industrial Automation AI Vision deployment CCTV / ITS / Trackside systems Inspection systems Experience with platforms/tools such as: Cognex Keyence Basler Hikrobot OpenCV AI Vision systems Railway, depot, or outdoor deployment experience will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
B.Tech / BE in: Electronics Electrical Instrumentation Mechatronics Computer Science Related engineering disciplines
