Position Overview:
The Program Manager (PM) will oversee the development of K-12 educational content for a US-based client, focusing on managing the project lifecycle, team collaboration, and content quality. Key Responsibilities Project and Content Development.
Key Responsibilities:
● Project Planning & Scheduling: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop detailed timelines and milestones for lesson plans, assessments, and multimedia resources.
● Content Development Coordination: Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and writers to develop, review, and refine curriculum content.
● Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between internal production and functional teams and external stakeholders (freelancers, vendors).
● Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential roadblocks (scope creep, resource limitations) and create mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
● Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, manage vendor contracts, and ensure efficient use of personnel and materials.
● Reporting and Documentation: To be well versed with creating scope documents and project plans.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree, PMP certified preferred
● Experience: 3–7+ years of experience in K-12 curriculum development, educational publishing, or EdTech project management.
● Pedagogical Knowledge: Deep understanding of K-12 learning frameworks, standards-based instruction.
● Project Management Skills: Proven ability to use Waterfall and agile project planning, or tools like Smartsheet, MS Project, or Jira to manage complex, multi-functional teams.
● Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to leadership or educational stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for tracking) and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or CMS
● AI Knowledge: Should have experience in using basic AI tools.
