About The Role
The Program Manager role at Qualcomm involves overseeing complex System on Chip (SOC) Design Verification projects within the Engineering Services Group. This position requires developing comprehensive project plans, managing schedules, budgets, resources, and risks to ensure successful project delivery. The Program Manager will serve as a central point of contact, coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams and external partners to align project objectives with organizational goals. The role demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, capable of monitoring project progress, mitigating risks, and ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SOC design verification and project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Communication, or related fields. A minimum of 10 years of experience in SOC Design Verification combined with project management expertise is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in program management methodologies, risk mitigation, and resource allocation. Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are critical. Experience with technical troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and managing multiple projects simultaneously will be highly valued. Certification in project management (such as PMP) is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Develop, define, and execute detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet project milestones.
- Monitor project progress weekly, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on technical requirements and deliverables.
- Track key performance metrics, report status updates to stakeholders, and escalate issues when deviations occur.
- Manage project budgets and spending, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Drive program alignment across multiple teams and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.
- Support risk management activities by maintaining risk trackers, executing mitigation plans, and updating project documentation.
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and best practices throughout project lifecycle.
