Role Summary
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in designing and delivering high-quality
engagement experiences that promote active ageing through group sessions,
workshops, hobby clubs, and intergenerational activities.
Candidate Profile
● We are looking for a candidate aged with a minimum of a graduate degree from
a recognised institution.
● The ideal person enjoys hobbies, arts, teaching, and community engagement,
and is confident in independently planning and running the full Active Ageing
program.
● A willingness to sign a one-year term contract is required.
Key Responsibilities
● Plan, design, and execute a daily and weekly calendar of activities such as yoga,
music, art, games, creative workshops, cognitive sessions, and hobby clubs.
● Ensure each session is well-prepared, smoothly conducted, and meaningful for
participants.
● Build warm, respectful relationships with seniors and encourage participation
while understanding individual needs and preferences.
● Coordinate events such as festivals, birthdays, intergenerational programs, and
collaborations with schools or community groups.
● Work with volunteers, visiting instructors, and partner organisations for
invitations, logistics, photography coordination, and post-event follow-up.
● Manage administrative tasks including attendance records, program calendars,
daily activity summaries, and coordination with facility teams (nursing, care staff,
housekeeping, kitchen).
● Share program updates and highlights with management for family
communication and social media.
Skills & Attributes
● Strong organisational and time-management skills.
● Good communication in English and Kannada.
● Ability to independently manage programs and coordinate with multiple teams.
● Basic computer and WhatsApp proficiency.
● Warm, empathetic, patient, reliable, and passionate about working with older
adults.
● Positive attitude, presentable personality, and enthusiasm for creative
engagement.
Qualifications
● Graduation degree (mandatory).
● Experience in community programs, teaching, arts, hospitality, customer
interaction, or social work is an advantage.
● Motivated freshers with strong hobby interests may also apply.
Work Expectations
● 9-hour shift with one weekly off.
● Flexibility to work during events and festivals (compensatory off will be provided).
● Professional conduct, punctuality, and respectful interactions with seniors and
colleagues.
● Reports to the Facility Manager and the Ekta Hub Program Lead, and
