for MULTIPLE Professor of Practice positions in Industrial
Automation
/ Industry 4.0.
We
are looking for accomplished industry leaders — CEOs, CTOs, Vice
Presidents,
Principal Scientists, Senior Research Scientists — who
want
to shape the next generation of Indian engineers through
practice-focused
teaching, consulting, and applied research.

📌 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
•
Focus areas: Industrial Automation, Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing,
robotics,
mechatronics, PLC / SCADA / DCS, IIoT, machine vision,
digital
twins, predictive maintenance, and cyber-physical systems.
•
Host Departments: Mechanical Engineering, Electronics &
Telecommunication
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a soft
department
— depending on your expertise.
•
These positions are part of MMCOE's Mission to Build a Product
Nation
— a national capability-building initiative to transform India
into
a design- and product-led economy by strengthening the
industry–academia
bridge, executive education, and applied
engineering
research.

🛠️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
•
Design and deliver industry-relevant courses, modules, and electives
in
Industrial Automation / Industry 4.0 and allied domains.
•
Enrich curriculum with current industrial practices, case studies,
standards,
and hands-on learning.
•
Mentor students, faculty teams, and interdisciplinary projects with
a
strong product-development focus.
•
Contribute to consulting engagements, executive education,
certifications,
and short-term upskilling programmes.
•
Build long-term partnerships with industry, startups, R&D
organisations,
and professional bodies.
•
Support sponsored labs, live projects, capstones, and collaborative
innovation
initiatives.

🎓 ELIGIBILITY & EXPERIENCE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
•
Senior professionals such as CEO, CTO, Vice President, Principal
Scientist,
Senior Research Scientist, and other accomplished
industry
practitioners are invited to apply.
•
Ordinarily, at least a Master's degree in Engineering, Science,
Technology,
or a related field.
•
A PhD is desirable but NOT mandatory.
•
Outstanding candidates with a Bachelor's degree and remarkable
industry
/ startup contributions may also be considered.
•
Hands-on product development experience is mandatory — development,
prototyping,
testing, implementation, or scaling of industrial
products
/ systems.
•
Track record of delivered products, projects, patents, systems,
process
innovations, or industrial deployments.
•
Evidence of teaching, training, mentoring, executive education, and
the
ability to build long-term industry partnerships is highly valued.
