Role Description The Professor of Mathematics will be a full-time, on-site position located in Kakori. The role includes delivering undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Mathematics and related disciplines, designing and updating course curricula, and supervising tutorials, labs, and seminar sessions. The professor will guide student research projects, publish scholarly work, and contribute to collaborative research initiatives within the department and across the university. Responsibilities also include academic mentoring, participation in departmental meetings and committees, and involvement in university events and outreach activities. The professor is expected to maintain high academic standards, support student success, and contribute to the university’s mission of research-driven education and leadership development.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in core Mathematics, with the ability to teach a range of foundational and advanced topics.
- Proficiency in Applied Mathematics and related areas, with experience linking theory to real-world applications.
- Working knowledge of Physics, enabling interdisciplinary teaching or collaboration where relevant.
- Competence in Statistics, including statistical methods, data analysis, and their use in mathematical modeling.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, assessment methods, and learning outcomes.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Mathematics or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals and active engagement in academic research.
- Prior university-level teaching experience, with evidence of effective classroom instruction and student mentorship.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach and work with a diverse student body.
- Collaborative mindset, professionalism, and willingness to contribute to departmental and institutional development.
