Role Description
We are seeking an accomplished academician and strategic leader to join our Faculty of Law as a Professor. The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong academic and research background but also demonstrate proven leadership capabilities to support academic planning, compliance, faculty development, and student engagement.
Academic Responsibilities:
- high-quality teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate law programs.
- Supervise Ph.D. and LL.M. research scholars in accordance with UGC norms.
- Develop course content, curriculum design, and pedagogical improvements.
- Engage in interdisciplinary research and publish in peer-reviewed national/international journals.
- Actively contribute to academic audits, NAAC/NBA/NIRF processes, and other accreditations.
- Organize seminars, workshops, moot courts, legal aid camps, and FDPs.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Serve as Academic Coordinator / HoD / Program Director (as assigned).
- Lead department-level planning, time-tabling, faculty allocations, and budgeting.
- Coordinate UGC/BCI compliance and documentation for inspections or audits.
- Mentor junior faculty in teaching, research, and student engagement.
- Support grievance redressal processes, student disciplinary committees, and internal complaint committees (ICC/PoSH).
- Liaise with the Dean/Director and other departments to implement institutional policies.
Eligibility Criteria (as per UGC norms):
- Ph.D. in Law with a strong academic record.
- Minimum 15-20 years of teaching/research experience in university/college with at least 10 publications in Scopus/ peer-reviewed/ referred journals.
- Evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates.
- Administrative/academic leadership experience will be a strong advantage.
Desirable Attributes:
- BCI (Bar Council of India) familiarity and regulatory understanding.
- Experience in legal practice or consultancy (preferable).
- Knowledge of legal tech, constitutional law, cyber law, or emerging areas.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
