Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Professor role based at Teacher's Pathsala in Barrackpur-I. The Professor will design and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions, ensuring that course content is current, accurate, and aligned with institutional standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance through assignments and examinations, offering constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role also involves mentoring students, providing academic advising, supervising projects or research work, and participating in departmental meetings and committees. The Professor is expected to contribute to curriculum development, engage in scholarly activities, collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives, and support institutional events and outreach programs.
Qualifications
- Advanced academic qualification in a relevant discipline (typically a Master’s or Doctoral degree) from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience in classroom teaching at the higher education level, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage diverse learners.
- Strong skills in academic planning, syllabus design, and development of learning materials aligned with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Competence in student assessment, including designing evaluations, grading fairly, and providing detailed feedback to support improvement.
- Evidence of scholarly activity, such as research projects, publications, conference participation, or contribution to academic bodies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities for collaborating with colleagues and supporting students.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and the ability to work effectively with learners from varied backgrounds.
- Organizational and time-management skills to balance teaching, mentorship, administrative responsibilities, and academic development.
- Familiarity with educational technology and basic digital tools for preparing materials, managing records, and enhancing classroom engagement.
