Company Description Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Haryana is a State university established under Act 25 of 2016 with a mandate to advance skill-based education and research. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Professor role located at the Shri Vishwakarma Skill University campus in Palwal. The Professor will be responsible for designing and delivering skill-focused curricula, conducting lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions, and mentoring learners in their academic and career development. Daily activities include preparing teaching materials, supervising laboratory and fieldwork, guiding student projects and internships, and evaluating learner performance through assessments and feedback. The role involves actively engaging in research and innovation in relevant skill domains, publishing scholarly work, and contributing to the university’s outreach, collaborations, and consultancy initiatives. The Professor will also participate in academic administration, curriculum development committees, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement of programs in line with industry needs.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in at least one of the university’s focus areas (e.g., manufacturing, information technology, textiles, design, logistics and transportation, automation, agriculture, or maintenance) with evidence of applied teaching and research.
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum design, outcome-based education, and integrating practical, industry-aligned skill components into academic programs.
- Proven experience in classroom and laboratory teaching at the higher education level, including mentoring, supervision of projects, and learner assessment.
- Active research profile with publications in peer-reviewed journals, participation in conferences, and engagement in funded research or consultancy projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and academic writing skills, with the ability to teach diverse learners and foster an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
- Experience collaborating with industry, government, or professional bodies for internships, apprenticeships, joint projects, or curriculum inputs.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution; eligibility as per applicable regulatory/academic bodies (e.g., UGC or equivalent) for the rank of Professor.
- Demonstrated leadership in academic administration, such as heading departments, leading committees, or managing academic programs, is preferred.
