Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mohali district, for a Professor/Associate Professor of Computer Science. The individual will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, mentoring students, conducting high-quality research in areas such as computer science, data science, programming, and cybersecurity, and contributing to institutional research goals. Additional responsibilities may include administrative roles, attending faculty meetings, staying abreast of industry advancements, and fostering academic collaborations within the university and externally.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Computer Science with a proven ability to teach and engage students in a classroom setting.
- Proficiency in Programming and Curriculum Development for higher education in computer science-related fields.
- Experience and knowledge in Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- A proactive interest in academic research and publications in reputable journals and conferences.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to guide students and collaborate with peers.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant industry experience and a Master's degree may also be considered.
- Prior teaching experience in academia and familiarity with the latest trends and tools in technology education is advantageous.
