Role Overview
The University is seeking a distinguished academician and thought leader for the position of Professor – School of Law. The role demands excellence in teaching, research, institution building, and academic leadership. The selected candidate will contribute to developing a future-ready law program aligned with global standards, interdisciplinary integration, and industry relevance.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery & Curriculum Development
- Design and deliver high-quality undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in Law.
- Develop contemporary curriculum integrating emerging areas such as Technology Law, AI & Law, Corporate Law, International Trade Law, and Policy Studies.
- Introduce innovative teaching methodologies including case-based learning, experiential learning, and legal clinics.
Research & Publications
- Lead impactful research initiatives and contribute to high-quality publications in reputed national and international journals (Scopus / ABDC indexed).
- Secure research grants, consultancy assignments, and funded projects.
- Guide Ph.D. scholars and mentor junior faculty in research excellence.
Academic Leadership & Institution Building
- Contribute to strategic planning and development of the School of Law.
- Play an active role in accreditation processes (NAAC, NIRF, NBA where applicable).
- Build global academic collaborations, MoUs, and exchange programs.
Industry & Institutional Engagement
- Establish strong linkages with legal firms, judiciary, corporates, and policy think tanks.
- Facilitate internships, live projects, and placements for students.
- Organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and guest lectures with industry experts.
Student Mentorship & Development
- Mentor students for academic, research, and career growth.
- Support moot courts, legal aid clinics, and co-curricular activities.
- Encourage participation in national and international competitions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in Law from a reputed institution.
- Master’s Degree (LL.M.) with an excellent academic record.
- Minimum 10–15 years of teaching/research/industry experience, with at least 5 years at Associate Professor level (as per UGC norms).
- Strong track record of publications in reputed journals and/or books with ISBN.
- Experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to interdisciplinary domains such as Law & Technology, Cyber Law, AI & Ethics, or Corporate Governance.
- International teaching/research exposure.
