JOB POSITION

  • Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a Team Lead with experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of industry best practices, good organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in Java technologies
  • Understanding of IT service management concepts and should lead the production support engagement (L1 & L2 support).
  • Identifying risk and conducting mitigation action planning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Lead 24/7 L1/L2 production support for Informatica ETL (PowerExchange, PowerCenter/IDMC), Datahub loads, Snowflake data models and implementation and API services; ensure SLA adherence and service stability.
  • Own incident triage and restoration: monitor alerts, run bridge calls, engage Dev/Infra/DBA/vendors, and provide timely stakeholder updates/escalations.
  • Manage batch/data pipeline operations: job scheduling, dependency management, restart/re-run, backfill/reprocessing, and handling failed/late feeds.
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem management for recurring failures (ETL, data issues, performance, connectivity, API errors); track corrective actions to closure.
  • Ensure data accuracy in Datahub: reconciliation checks, exception handling, data-quality validations, and coordination of downstream replays for impacted consumers.
  • Support API operations: monitor availability/latency, handle integration failures, validate payloads/mappings, manage retries, and coordinate fixes for contract/schema changes.
  • Provide release and change support: deployment readiness reviews, cutover/hypercare coordination, rollback planning, and validation of post-release job and API health.
  • Own operational documentation: runbooks, SOPs, knowledge articles, support checklists, and standardized troubleshooting steps for faster resolution and handoffs.
  • Manage 24/7 support staffing: on-call rotations, shift handovers, queue prioritization, and coaching/mentoring of analysts to improve first-time-fix and MTTR.
  • Drive proactive monitoring and automation: improve alert quality, reduce noise, implement scripts/self-healing, and standardize restart/backfill procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and controls: production access governance, audit evidence, change approvals, and adherence to security/data handling policies.
  • Report operational KPIs: incident volume/severity, MTTR, SLA compliance, repeat incidents, job success rate, data-latency metrics, and action-plan progress.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelors’ or Masters’ is Computer Science/ IT or equivalent

Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant IT experience.
  • Experienced in leading Production support activities, ETL Informatica, Java applications, SQL

Skills And Competencies

  • Informatica PowerCenter: workflow/session monitoring, restart/recovery, error handling, performance tuning, metadata/log analysis.
  • IDMC (IICS/Cloud Data Integration): taskflow/job monitoring, schedule/orchestration, secure agents, parameterization, troubleshooting runtime failures.
  • ETL & Data Engineering fundamentals: incremental loads, CDC concepts, SCD, reprocessing/backfills, dependency management, data lineage.
  • Datahub operations: batch controls, data validation/reconciliation, data-quality checks, master vs staging concepts.
  • SQL (advanced): joins, window functions, query tuning, reconciliation queries, identifying data anomalies and duplicates.
  • APIs: REST fundamentals, HTTP codes, authentication (OAuth/token), payload validation (JSON/XML), API log tracing, latency/availability monitoring.
  • Scheduling tools: Control-M/Autosys/Cron (or equivalent) for job orchestration and dependency control.
  • Monitoring & observability: Splunk/ELK, AppDynamics/Dynatrace, Grafana/Prometheus, alert tuning and dashboarding (tool-specific).
  • Scripting/automation: Python/Shell/PowerShell for automation, log parsing, health checks, and repeatable runbook tasks.
  • Cloud & infrastructure awareness: networking basics (DNS, TLS, firewall), Linux basics, certificates/keys, SFTP/file feeds, container/cloud basics where applicable.
  • ITSM tools: ServiceNow incidents/problems/changes, knowledge management, CMDB awareness.
