Role Overview
We are seeking a Production Support Engineer to join our Operations team and support critical business applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in production support, incident management, monitoring, and operational governance within enterprise environments.
The role involves ensuring system availability, responding to incidents, performing operational activities, and collaborating with technical teams to maintain service continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor applications, infrastructure, and operational dashboards.
- Analyze alerts and perform first-level troubleshooting.
- Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM tools.
- Escalate issues to appropriate technical teams and track resolution.
- Perform Start-of-Day (SOD) and End-of-Day (EOD) operational activities.
- Monitor business transactions and identify operational anomalies.
- Execute routine operational activities as per defined procedures.
- Participate in incident bridges and support critical issue management.
- Prepare and publish operational reports and dashboards.
- Maintain shift handover documentation and operational records.
- Ensure adherence to operational processes, SOPs, and service standards.
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in Production Support, Application Support, NOC, IT Operations, or Technical Support environments.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/ITSM tools.
- Understanding of Incident Management and ITIL processes.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
- Exposure to log analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.
Preferred Skills
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and production environments.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
