ROLE OVERVIEW
Vandana Aircraft is seeking a highly capable Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations for softline / seating products (automotive & aerospace seat covers/interiors).
The role demands global OEM-level execution, including production planning, process control, quality compliance, and shop-floor leadership, aligned with best practices followed by leading automotive seating manufacturers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Production Operations & Execution
- Supervise end-to-end production: cutting, stitching, assembly, finishing
- Ensure daily production targets (quality, cost, delivery)
- Drive line balancing and productivity improvement
2. Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Execute production schedules aligned with customer demand
- Ensure material availability and inventory control
- Track KPIs (OEE, rejection rate, throughput)
3. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / AS9100 (preferred)
- Maintain zero-defect culture
- Coordinate audits and corrective actions
4. Process Improvement
- Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S
- Reduce waste, rework, and rejection
- Support new product development
5. Team Leadership
- Manage operators and line leaders
- Conduct training and performance monitoring
6. Safety & EHS
- Ensure workplace safety and compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Textile / Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
5–8 years in automotive seating / softline manufacturing
Experience in seat covers, upholstery, or textile-based OEM production
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Knowledge of cutting, stitching, assembly processes
- Production planning and line management
- ERP / SAP systems
- Lean tools (5S, Kaizen)
