Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Senior Engineer role based at Merino Group’s facility in Vadodara. The Production Senior Engineer will oversee daily production operations, ensuring that output targets, quality standards, and safety norms are consistently met. The role involves planning and scheduling production activities, optimizing resource utilization, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, quality, supply chain, and EHS. The Production Senior Engineer will monitor process parameters, analyze production data, and drive root-cause analysis for deviations or downtime, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Responsibilities also include supporting continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to digitalization efforts on the shop floor, training and guiding production team members, and preparing regular reports for management.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Production Engineering, with the ability to understand and improve manufacturing processes and equipment performance.
- Proficiency in Production Planning and shop-floor coordination to manage schedules, capacities, and resources effectively.
- Hands-on experience in Quality Control, including adherence to standards, process checks, and defect reduction initiatives.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret production data, identify trends, and drive problem-solving and process optimization.
- Effective Communication skills for clear interaction with operators, cross-functional teams, and management, including documentation and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline; a master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage.
- Experience in continuous process or discrete manufacturing, preferably in laminates, building materials, or related industries.
